Hey Folks,
I was reading a recent post on interracial dating on Happy Nappy Head where the post discussed why Black women enter into interracial relationships. The post asked several questions and went on to ask Black women's perceptions of sex with non-Black men as opposed to Black men were.
I’m not sure how many of you actually are in interracial relationships but I’m sure any of you who are will understand my next rant.
Why do we feel the need to justify why we enter into interracial relationships? And why are some compelled to say “Yes, my husband is White but I have nothing against Black men”
Do others dating outside of their race make the same asinine statements? I ask because I hear them all too frequently from Black women and it disturbs me. Why are we still trying to prove that we’re ‘down’?
Who cares!?....Rant over!

What we can each other modelizing from our little island life lost in this huge ocean world depend about the how the communication is act around maybe.
So imagine if one young adult read in his beginning of issues by thinking here and elsewhere. Everyone could understand the consequence of their thoughts above the senses : that what they call "love"!?! I met many women charms but the distances of the origin country between us make the third in the couple, so anyway the love still live in friendship (or I have to live in NY). Maybe the love could live by the travel & the eternal travel of the mind to One Two. On the web by exchange & share, joke about all the static past models of society, we act then the first real step of dreams, isn't it friends! |

Um, okay. I guess what you're trying to say is "live and let live". I used to e one of those women who apologized for dating non-black men because I didn't want people to think I hated black men. But I'm over it now. Let them think whatever they want ti think.
Tracy, you know how to get my blood going. Thanks for the Happy Nappy Head article. |

Hi Niecy. I get "Do you realize your husband was white?" most often. Now that I'm writing fulltime and he goes with me to signings, I get "Do you realize how hot your husband is?" LOL, yeah like I could forget...;)
Good luck moving around with the Military, I worked for the DoD for a number of years so I know the feeling. Well you always have a home here on the site so please stop by and rant all you like, you will notice we rant a lot...:) |
