Stand by for a “Tracy Rant”….
"Is this thing on?" **tapping mic**
Folks, I done gone and done it! I have been the victim of plagiarism. It was brought to my attention that someone lifted my work from the site and reposted it as their work respectively. You can’t be nice and offer free stuff to people…no, they have to lift your work.
And they weren’t very clever about it….they lifted two of my most popular stories; “The Congressman’s New Nanny” and “The Secretary”. What the hell! Hey dumbass, make me work a bit; don’t go for the high-dollar items straight away! At least be smart about it guys.
This nameless faceless attacker (NFA) was either exceedingly stupid or completely unaware that my site uses Copyscape protect our hard work. Each piece of material has a copyright, both the author's and mine, attached to it. My authors are chosen to join the site because of their aptitude for spinning a tantalizing tale and are assured the following:
“The author retains ALL rights to their material; it does not belong to me or the site. With that being said, I will protect you if anyone lifts your work from the site without your expressed permission. All authors fall under my LLC copyright protection. I use Copyscape to ensure that none of my or my authors work is reproduced on other sites. We have to look out for each other!”
To any future NFAs please keep this in mind…
I am extremely protective of my authors and my site. So if you muster the balls to copy from my site without proper permission, rest assure that you will be caught and I will unleash my minions. Think it’s a game!
Rant Over....:)

I can't believe it!
Then again yes I can! In my opinion its no better than the readers who download an authors work from underground sources without paying for it. Still I try not to sweat it. I just remember what my mom always says, be careful of what you dish out because it will come right back to you... |

Thank you! It all comes back around to bite you in the butt. And yes, the person will be paying for their actions. Greg is all over it.

LOL! You're not a dumb Brit. Yeah, I try to keep the "Tracy Rants" to a bearable level these days. Yes, all of your work is automatically falls under my LLCs (Blue Art Media) copyright protection. If we find out that your stuff has been lifted without your permission, we go after the NFA on your behalf. Click on the "Copyscape" link within the blog post.
I love being married to an attorney. It makes giving someone the finger soooo much easier…:) |

I have stuff on my website. It's not covered or anything and I do wonder about that but them I only ever wanted to do this for fun, cos I sure as hell don't make any money out of doing it. More rants, Tracy. More rants! You are passionate, its why we all love you.
What was the site that lifted it? |

I know, I have been gone a long time. Actually, I have been dealing with college students that like to "borrow" work that is not theirs. Yes, I also, among the other thousand things I already do co-teach a college course and my other co-teacher has been MIA for the last two weeks. Tell Greg to, "give em hell!" Is Greg a litigator?I am an attorney, but I knew from the moment I stepped on the floor for Moot Court that I didn't have the killer instincts for litigation. But then again, four children later.... maybe I do.
