Hey Everyone,
I wanted to say thank you so much for the success of “Taking Chances”. I’m truly humbled. I never expected the amount of positive emails, comments and reviews the story has received.
And to think, this idea was a shot in the dark…a simple chat with a friend one night when I should have been in bed. We scribblers often joke about a very real occurrence: when our characters won’t let us sleep or concentrate on another piece of work until their story is on paper.
This is what happened with “Taking Chances” Jason and Angela stood akimbo until I penned their story. By the last sentence I knew I had something but I wasn’t certain what it was.
I was approach by my publisher to revise it into a full novel or novella. Both options I turned rejected because I’m too busy and it would feel rushed.
Anyway, an owner of a production company happened to read the story and would like to produce a promotional video. I have agreed to this however we need music.
This is where you, the readers come in. I figure the easiest way for you to hear the songs is to YouTube it. Pick which song you think best fits the story and the characters. I have my personal favorite but I’m not telling you which one it is until the votes a tallied.
Click the song names below to have a listen and happy voting!
***Oh sorry, I forgot to mention! The Georgian Inn mentioned in the story is REAL. My girlfriend Angela Hand recently sold it to Shari and James Triche (She kept it in VERY good hands). If you've ever in the mood for a quiet escape this is your place. It's my little hide away.

Well since the story is called "Taking Chances" the Celine Dion song would seem like the obvious choice. I love Brian Mc Night and "Love of my life" is one of my favortite songs. But for some reason to me The Martina McBride just seems to fit the story and the relationship between Angela and Jason. the best so I'm voting for "Valentine"

I knew you'd pick that one! Don't ask me how but I knew it! The funny thing is way the productin guy sent me the song I flipped out. I let me Mom listen to it and she says, "Oh my God, Tracy. That's it." Mind you...she's in with a patient at the time. *Shaking Head*
But then I thought about B ringing my neck if I didn't use his song. This could be trouble. Damn it! |

IRE has the sappiest readers in the world. Even Pam, my iron-clad sister, is getting sappy over this story. What's that about?! Well she also got weepy over "Change of Plans".
I find that funny because she's a brick wall, yeah pretty dead inside....:) I love you girl. "Who brangin' da tada salad!?" |
