Everyone,
Excuse me if I ramble.
The IterracialErotica.net family lost one of its founding members. Brendan “Dirk” Baker passed away this morning. Brendan wasn’t only a writer on the site; he was my friend…one of my dearest friends. We worked together for years, he encouraged me to explore my Kinky side, he was a mentor of sorts, and he was a beautiful person who loved the ones around him and he was an amazing artist. I was his first Black model and he named me “Black Barbie”.
I’m sorry it feels like the wind has been sucked out of me. I miss him so much. I can’t pick up the phone and bounce ideas off of him. We can’t sit around and laugh over coffee anymore. My children have lost their Uncle Bren, the IE.net family has lost a true friend and the world has lost a pure spirit.
On the site, Brendan was behind the scenes. He wrote a few stories in the very beginning however his talent was used on the graphic art side. He was an established artist and photographer….he was wonderful. IE.net began with a handful of extremely close individuals and he was one of them. We brought this sucker to life in just under a month and he took time away from his site to help out. He gave so much of his time and energy us of and I wish the readers had own him better but he was shy in that way. He never wanted to be up front with me, Grip, and Precious (Donna). When the site took off he was proud and continued to supply much of the art.
Needless to say, we’re taking the news pretty hard and we ask that you give us time to grieve. We’ve taken a blow but we’ll get up again.
Tracy
