Hey guys and gals,
I been receiving a few emails over the last month asking one basic question. I keep seeing 'Reader Request' on some of the short stories and novellas. What are Reader Request?
Here's the answer:
Reader Request are story ideas that a IRE reader sends to us in the hopes that we (the authors) will run with the story. The reader also has the option of sending their story idea to one specifc author based on the author's writing style. For example...Kept was a very basic requeast I received (WASP/Black woman)...no kidding, that was the reader request. Another example is Misjudged. I received this request from a MySpace friend based on a missed opportunity he had. I told it and ran with it.
Bottom line, a request can be as simple as "Hey can you write a story about a Black lady and a White guy"....or something more detailed in nature such as "I'd like to request a story based in the 1950s involving a Civil Rights worker and a confused Redneck. And I'd like their names to be Bonnie and Jeb."
Normally it takes me about a week or less to spin a tale but some authors may need longer to research their project and/or clear their schedule. If you haven't heard back from at least one of us within 3 days please resend your request and Cc me directly. I'll get you sorted out....:)
How can you submit a Reader Request?
It's simple! Email us the basic information below and we'll reply.
1. Story time period
2. Names of characters if you'd like...this is optional
3. Race and age of the characters
4. Basic education/job titles...this is optional
5. Interraical Erotica Scoville Scale rating...wouldn't to get in over the readers head.
6. What category do you want it to fall in.
7. Ending...opening ending...happily ever after ending...no ending, just a quickie
8. Any personal ticks you'd like mentioned about a character
The list above is just to help the auther spin the story ensuring that the requester gets what they're looking for. Feel free to send as much or little detail as you see fit.
