I'm finished as well!!!!. First: BEAUTIFUL COVER!. Thanks. That doesn't happen ENOUGH with I/R romances/erotica. What I love about your writing: Your unapologetic flair for fairytales. I'm mature and well travelled, so I know anything's possible with love, if one's open enough, but oh how I wish I could have read something like this as a young teen. How awesome would that have been!?. You left no stone unturned in your elaborateness. So HOT!. Somewhere though, think it was after Sonya talked with Edward about being raped, there was a disconnect for me. True, that part nearly made me put the book down, never to revisit, but I kept on, was just lost as to why they were fighting and ended up not seeing each other for a while. Was also peeved at Sonya's jealous fit, which seemed so teenage(y). How on earth can you overhear a one-sided conversation and jump to Einstein conclusions!?. This is exactly the kind of subplot used in so many romances that turn me off. I mean, you painted Sonya as this together, rational, mature adult, but yet she can deduce her lover is cheating just from hearing "I love you" spoken to an anonymous caller?. The kink. Geez, I honestly didn't think it could be written so freaking yummily. It was never boring. ALWAYS got me off (:-). This for me was definitely the strongest part of the book. Also, Edward, he was exactly as you painted him. My question is: Why does the heroine veer from the initial characteristics the authors have painted them to be, but yet the hero doesn't?. I enjoyed this book. Will have to reread it at another time and perhaps post another more indepth review. The anticipation could have dulled some of my senses...... |

Ha! You got it! Sonya was NEVER jealous of Edward's friends until she fell in love with him. This is when she began to come apart. I wrote it in sneaky and rather symbolic way. If you notice Sonya doesn't "go off" in the way other authors would've written the situation (kicking, fighting 'oh no you didn't!!'). I wrote it the way I did for a reason. She was trying to hold it together.
I can't speak for other authors but in Sonya’s case she changed because she had the most emotional baggage. In a way she used her relationship with Edward to figure some things out (ie, the rape). Edward didn’t have any emotional hang ups. He was sorting out a whole other level of drama. I'll be talking more in-depth about this topic during our one-on-one chat. I like the sneakiness of writing! ;-) Yeah the Kink was quite nice to pen for the first time. Yeppers, this is my first full length Kink based book. And it was a blast to write. And Greg loved one scene that I'm sure you can pick out. :) I'm soooo glad you kept reading beyond the rape bit and I hope you were able to see how Sonya came through it. I didn't go into great detail or paint a huge picture of it occurring because it wasn't necessary. What was most important was the way Sonya dealt with it....which is also true for victims as a whole: dealing with the event and getting on with our lives…not allowing the perpetrators to steal anymore of who we are than they already have. BTW, thanks...I love the cover as well. Do you have any idea how much I love my life right now? It should be against the law! |

Tracy, what can I say but WOW. You covered all aspects of any and all possible situations......Awesome. After, Sonya talked with Edward about her past then I realized why she was so jealous and why she was acting like a little girl--->she lost her childhood and her family. Yet, she opened up to Edward and made him her family and when she felt it falling apart she did the only thing that always worked which is to internalize everything. Yet, Edward even though he was the prince should have talked to Sonia about what was going on especially if she had given up everything for him and helping him with his estates and doing it well I might add. Even though he is a dominant he thought little of what she was feeling and the new world that he put her in. And he tried to make it up with their love making...steamy;)
You are still the QUEEN of KINK. Ms Tracy---> Edward could give Mark a run for his money but Mark would still win:) So do we get to see Ali and Nick's wedding;) |

Thanks Vicki! You picked up on the subtle grains of change I've mentioned. Sonya and Edward were figuring things out along the way. Both made mistakes and learned from them.
I thought about doing a short story covering Ali and Nick's wedding. We'll see. It won't be a full novel though. Book three was hal complete and I tossed it. I didn't think it was worth going back over the characters again after I'd sealed "Make Her Want It". |

Well one doesn't read about a modern fairy-tale story full of romance, love, laughter and KINK! Disney is missing out. :)
First, beautiful cover. So tasteful, sophisticated and sexy. Most IR book covers are so... I'll just say less sophisticated. I know we should not judge a book by it's cover, but we do sometimes. OK I finished the book in 24 hours. The first time I read it I was slightly disappointed, but I didn't know why. So I read it again, feeling that maybe I missed subtle things here and there in my rush to finish. Which I did. I came to the conclusion that this was a true, unconventional love story. Two people, from two different worlds both found love, trust and respect for one another through kink, in its basic or purest form. Having never experienced anything close to love before, I felt the two were like teenagers, discovering all the good and negative emotions that often time are associated with love. (jealousy, possessiveness, and sometimes mistrust) As they say, it can make an otherwise intelligent, rational thinking person, irrational. I must say, one of Sonya's secrets was a bit off putting... coming right after an intimate and subtle little scene (Edward switches and gives up control), but it made sense given the type of character she was. Since this was a love story found through an unconventional way, I felt the tension, or the climatic dramas, where more heartfelt and believable to me. That's the hard part of most IR or romantic stories, the labored drama that's not really all that dramatic. I like feeling that bit of heartbreak the characters are feeling, or sadness as well as the anticipation, romance and steamy sex when I can lose myself in the story. Sonya went through obvious emotional and characteristic changes, but I do feel Edward did too, just a bit subtle. You start to see it when the first secret is revealed, he opens up about himself to her more, he lets down his guard and he becomes a bit softer with his authority. OK one last thing (for now) favorite kink/sex scene is on the balcony, so much pint up emotion that he lets out, LOVE IT. Thanks Ms. Ames Now I must go to bed. |

I love it! I’m glad you went back through the book again. I was hoping more people would do the same as most folks were picking up the book going “Oh I know this couple. I’ve seen their stories a hundred times from other authors”.
I wanted the readers to finish the book saying “Wow, I wasn’t expecting that.” and then go back and pick out the little bits they missed. *cue wicked laugh* Given the dynamics of Sonya and Edward's relationship and their characters, using subtlety to show how they grew was the ONLY way to write their experience true to their character. Any sudden major changes would’ve killed the story. They needed to fall apart to become who they were in the end. Damn, I can’t wait until our one-on-one! We have so much to talk about. I don’t want to spoil it for the readers who haven’t finished the book. And the scene you mentioned was one of my favs as well. No, I don't think Disney wants anything to do with Kink...not yet at least. ;-) |

Hi Sonya
I agree with your comparison of Mark and Edward. Edward definitely wins in my eyes. He's the ultimate, at least the way I would like, dominant. Tracy did an excellent job portraying his character. I couldn't dislike him for nothing!. Flawless dominant. Swoooooooooon!. PS: I'm so happy others have posted their reviews, as I'm seeing now I have to reread. Your fans are awesome, Tracy!. |

I have to agree with you; my fans are awesome. I love the fact that they actually read and form opinions.
Edward broke the mold for hotness! Don't get me wrong, I love Nick but Edward was more complex. In the early days I would receive emails from readers wanting to strangle him and by the end they loved him. I hope I did him justice. I really wanted people to see the Edward behind the princely ego or at least get a better understanding of him. Building Mark's character outline has taken a long time. There's a dash of Edward's dominance in him for sure. However, where Mark is cunning, Edward is more likely to throw you into a boiling volcano without missing a beat! |

Tracy.... I enjoyed the book tremendously and I think I understand some of the finer points expressed in your story.... Here you have two larger than life characters. Both accomplished, astute, and wildly successful either by sheer will or birthright. However, they are both so emotionally immature that it's almost like grown and sexy meets first love throughout the story.
Not only do they learn how to love, but they also learn how to trust and gain a best friend along the way. Yes, Sonya's response seemed irrational. Did you forget she was pregnant AND sick as a dog at the time? I know I did a lot of things that, in retrospect, make absolutely no sense whatsoever during times of hormonal imbalance.... Also, speaking from experience, when you're used to controlling and being in control, the moment you realize that you have literally given/lost the part of that which applies to you to someone else boggles the mind. Let's just say that it can give one pause. I'm going to read it again to see what I missed the first time ;-) |

Yes, you're watching two people sorting it along the way while still trying to hold it together. I think, in many ways, it made their relationship stronger. Oh the hormones! I know all about them.
You're going back to read the dirty stuff! I liked them too. ;-) |
