Genre wise, my writing has been all over the map as of late.
“The Awakening”: Paranormal & Kink
“No Going Back”: Romantic
“Getting Mine": Romantic, slightly Kinky edge
“Finding My Freedom: Kink
“Wicked”: Well, what can I say? It’s Gabriel…
I’ve been in a Kinky mood for a while mainly because having to write for Edward, Mark, and Gabriel demands I remain in a certain state of mind. Now I’m feeling a little girlie. I want softer romance so that’s what I’m going to write….think “Change of Plans” or “Taking Chances”
News Flash: Over the past year I’ve been working on a period storyline. I haven’t talked about this to anyone outside of my inner circle because it’s a side project that I’m working on just for shits & giggles.
It’s not one of those cheesy “Gone with The Wind” meets “Jungle Fever”...or better yet “Amsted” meets “Sense & Sensibility” types of stories. That’s bollocks! You know my abhorrence for weak characters and stereotypes. There aren’t any in the story.
Anyway, a few weeks ago Daniel gave my mentor a copy of the manuscript and she loved it. So she sent the completed chapters (brown wrapper for all of you industry folks) out for feedback. S.O.B, it’s a hit!*. Now what? Well, I don’t know what to do. Being that this will be my first period piece, another option is to release it on the site. I don’t know. We’ll see how things go.
Warning: It’s long as hell! Not “War & Peace” long but I have invested a great deal of time developing storyline and characters.
* The story also passed The Greg Test with flying colors—he can spot chick lit a mile away!

If I decide to run with it, it won't be out until the end of the year. I have "Beg Me" and "Taking Chances" to re-read for print release. Reading on the net can get on your nerves!
Maybe it's me but I want a printed book. I want to curl up and flip through pages. Am I crazy? Oh yeah! I meant to tell you...I pay 25.00 for a can of Ricola instant night time tea! You know the one that cost about 4 francs at Manor? When I drank the first cup I thought of you with tears in my eyes. LOL! Greg is going to Nyon next month but I couldn't wait any longer. :) |
