Hello everyone,
I hope you’re enjoying your holiday weekend. We went to the fireworks show last night so today has been spent laying around the house with the family. I have managed to get a great deal of research done for “Wicked” and I’ve also worked on the outline for Tasha & Jim’s story. I’m still in a romantic phase so I figured this is the right time to work on Tasha & Jim’s saga.
The purpose of this post was to fill you in on what I’ve been watching since Greg has keep my electronic entertainment to DVDs and TV….with few hours of laptop access tossed in so he wouldn’t come off like a total dick. :)
Anyway, if you haven’t watched “Dorian Gray” you should. It’s a film adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s hit.
Also checkout the BBC show “Being Human” if you like vampires and so on. It’s a drama but strangely funny at the same time. It’s very well done. I think you’ll like it and it has an interracial bit going.
Someone uploaded the first season of “Being Human" to Youtube as well as “Dorian Gray”…watch them there because neither is available in the States just yet. The links are below…I put a separate link for part 6 of Dorian Gray. I guess the person had it removed but I continued in their channel after watching part 6 on the other guy’s (the film quality was better).
Gotta love Youtube! I wish we had more British/European crap over here!! Does that sound bitter? Well damn it, I miss Switzerland!
**UPDATE**
I added the link to the second season of "Being Human" I'm glad you guys are enjoying the show. I love Mitch but George is sooo cute.
Dorian Gray
Part 6 is here
Being Human
Being Human Second Season

Ben Barnes is hot in a pale thin sort of way

Hopefully Mitch and Annie will come back as a couple

Even though I don't watch these shows, or any others for that matter, besides football now, what with all the yummy players (Hopp Germany!), I agree we have ways better quality shows here across the big pond. Interracial couples are shown as sexy and their scenes are just as explicit as any others. Like we all know, quality, not quantity is the European way. I empathise with you missing Switzerland. Will be visiting family and friends Stateside later this month, and can you imagine I'm already looking forward to returning?. It's not perfect here, but close enough for me.
I wonder though: what is the fascination with Americans and vampire shows or shiftshaping werewolf romances?. Give me a real human male with a regular size appendage. I get the feeling, where the romances are concerned, the authors use these paranormalites as an excuse to write about "big dick" males. It's really a turn off, not to mention must be right painful. Where's the pleasure in that!!!?. |

Thanks Tracy I'll have to check these out. I'll like ben Barnes. He's is alittle on the pale side but there something kind of hot about him. cccH I never really thought about it but I guess your right they probally do have better quality shows in europe tham here in the states. I'll admit it I loved Vampire and Werewolve shitfer romances stories. I can't really explain what it is about that we love here in the states. There is just something extremely sexy and erotic about a well written paranornal romance. I have read all kinds of romance stories over the years both parnormal and human and trust the writers don't just use the paranoral as an excuse to give the male a"big dick". The males almost always seem to havemassive size dicks. Somehow I guess been it's precieved that every woman want to be sexed up rough and hard by a man hung like king kong . I' with you . While ofcourse I may not want a guy with small dick. I'm precfectly happy with a normal size man. I don't need to have a 12 or 13 inch dick up vjay or any other part of my body for that matter to be satified sexually.

Oh I can't wait to publish the news article I'm writing about the male body image in erotica! I'm not going to address the penis size until then! Ohhh, I can't wait.

Flicking through the gazillion channels that Directv offers, I saw that "Being Human" show on BBC station. I might check it out now. I read the info while scrolling through the guide. I caught another show on BBC that was hilarious (the name is lost to me right now).
I have found myself looking more to that station to watch when I am inclined to watch television. I am either on my computer, on my eReader or w/a real physical book in my hand. Not in that order. |

I can't really say why the paranormal genre has sprung to life again. But you'll notice it happens every few year....look at Anne Rice and now her son Christopher.
There is a differance in Euro TV/movies and the US. Americans like happy endings where everyone lives. Overseas not so much...they can stomach some heartache...kill the lead characters for the greater good sorta deal. The BBC version of "State of Play" is a great example. In the American film version it didn't make any since because it didn't follow the nature distructive path of the mini series. We LOVE the mini series. |
