As my Grandma, Momma Ames, and I were finishing up making the last batch of homemade jam, I realized just how simple my life has become since coming to Iowa. Not that our life in CT was lesson in over stimulation but it was definitely faster. Juggling our careers, and sorting out Greg’s family business and work in CT is fairly tame. Our lives become hectic when we're in NYC!...which is another reason I'm begging Greg to sale our place there. Seriously, we're hardly there anymore.
Anyway. Coming to Iowa threw the breaks on life as we knew it. Nothing is too pressing that it can’t wait—there’s no stress here. Greg has only freaked out once on his assistant since we arrived…lucky for her it was over the phone, she didn’t have to watch the vein in his forehead swell.
I have managed to work on a couple of manuscripts however I’ve found it difficult to stay focused. All I want to do is sleep. I haven’t slept this well in years. And when I am at my laptop, I’m focused on the wrong manuscript. So I’ve decided to write what I feel at the moment—I’m not going to force anything that isn’t there.
Also, I was approached by two online magazines to write monthly columns and I’ve decided to turn them down. A one-off article here and there is manageable but I don’t need the pressure to produce. As far as my schedule goes: I’ve killed everything that wasn’t urgent. I don’t have to do it all. I have nothing to prove anymore; nothing at all. If you like me then fine…if you don’t, well, that’s what the ‘X’ in the upper right-hand corner is for. *Shrugs*
To be honest, I like the slower pace of Iowa. I wake up every morning to simplicity. Again, not that my life in CT was barbarous but here it’s just…I can’t put it into words. I was already moving in the ‘slower life’ direction, however, having my Grandma fly in and being around Momma Ames as helped prioritize everything a little faster. Though, I fear, my butt will be a few pounds heavier when I leave.
Momma Ames is doing better, I’m a happy camper, Greg is Greg, BC has gone feral, and Eva is back in Switzerland (I miss you so much).
Life is good.
Here's a little something to kept your occupied. Me and my sister-in-law got a little giddy playing earlier. The first word I found was 'Lust". What about you? Oh crap! I just found "Malice"
Sorry it's a little fuzzy. I couldn't make it any larger without really missing it up.

Also, if anyone is interested in Medici history, PBS has their award winning Empires Series on their Youtube channel. The only one that's missing is Victoria's Empire however the PBS Admin said it'll be up soon. Watch the programs there in their entirety. Youtube finally did something right, they gave most of the educational outlets their own channels......yeah, right after I paid almost 200.00 for the &$#!* DVDs. Whatever, the series is well done. Click Here.
BTW, I’m not sure what it is about the narrator’s voice but minutes after I turn it on, BC is sound asleep!
Yeah, we're hands down the strangest erotic site you'll ever visit! We put the "Errr" in Erotica. :)

Tracy, life is always simple in the country. At least that is how I feel when I go home to Mississippi. The pace is slower in MS than MA, people are friendly in MS than they are in MA, and the food is better in the country(my mom says it's cause people in the country take their time to cook and they are not in a rush). So I say enjoy, enjoy, enjoy and be thankful that Greg freaked once plus I am sure the country air helped him calm down a lot quicker than if he was in the city. And I am glad your Gamma sorry Grandma is that cause the country is so enjoyable. So relax and take the time for you.

Yes it is, Vicki. Life is much more relaxed and simple in the country. It seems like everything melts away.

You got it Tracy, slow and easy wins the race. I am glad you found Iowa-even though we never got our face-to-face.
You've inspired me to take a nap! |

I'll be back in CT soon...as a matter of fact, can you pick me up from the airport? Totally kidding. :) But we'll back soon. For now I'm kicking back and taking it all in.
Did you call me earlier or did the baby get a hold of your phone...AGAIN!? |

I called on my way home from work.
I just read over the last chapter of "Pride" on the site, trying to recall what nonsense I started in that chapter (gonna start working on the next installment) and I found a typo-catastrophe. It was horrible. I'm embarrassed. Got Damn! I may have to begin sending my chapters to Lydia for a quick look-see. I am sorry I forced your readers to stumble through that hot mess. |

Whatever! I'm sure everyone has come across worse typos and missed words on other sites. What did you tell me?....don't beat yourself up when you make mistakes....fix it and move on. Well, you do the same.
I called you back but the line just rang. I'm going out for a walk in a bit. I'll call you again. |

Sherece, your 1st, 16th, and 32rd words are telling. I'm not sure what they're telling but I'm sure it'll sort itself out. Having any weird dreams lately, lol :)
How did I miss coke and bail? Yuck, I found pee. Did you tilt your head while looking at the puzzle? Oh, that was just me. :) |
