It's rare that I show my claws as there are very few times when it's necessary. However, when anyone attacks an author on my site, the gloves come off.
Let me say this as plainly as possible: This is my house. The authors who have graciously chosen to share their work are here by my invitation and while constructive criticism is always welcomed, malicious personal attacks are not.
In pursuit of our dream, we expose ourselves to daily judgment from people both seen and unseen. It takes guts to do what we do.
That being said, the fastest way to get your ass blocked* is to come after one of us. I will not sit idling by and allow anyone (readers included) under my protection to be insulted and/or bashed. Take it elsewhere.
Please read the "About Us" section. In short:
"I do not, nor will I, stand for any bashing of my authors or other authors on this site.
My motto is simple: I didn't cut my teeth in this industry by biting the backs of my fellow authors."
The writers here have my full confidence. An attack on them is an attack on me. I dare you to try me. It won't go well for you, but you're welcome to try.
* Oh yeah, thanks to my super-duper programming ability, you to can be blocked from my site. Please don't waste your time emailing me in hopes of being unblocked. Once you're gone, you're gone.
Good day

LMAO. TA this is what is miss about America (I know if I was in the states I wouldn’t be saying that) the crazy attitude. Brits and their attitude are blah, blah, blah for me. Continue to do your thing Ms. Crazy arse

Lady, sometimes folks forget who they're dealing with. How rude!
Anyway, the Brits are a different breed. Imagine growing up in England with a plain spoken German mother and a no non-sense Southern father. Yep, happy days! |

Short...Sweet(maybe not so much)...and to the point. Tracy, I love it when you rant. With you protecting us, its aaaaaallllllll gooooooood!
Nobody has to like anything or everything that's on the site, but the least we could hope for is that people are respectful with whatever criticism they bring. Author's contribute because they want to share their work, but we also want to know that what we bring to the table has value. If its not someone's cuppa tea, fine, but getting nasty is just uncalled for. Thanks momma bear! |

No problem. It gets under my skin when I read suspected adults taking shots at my folks. Does anyone read the 'About Us' section? If not, then they should. This non-sense won't happen again. You're right, not everything here will again with everyone's personal taste, but it's here for those who enjoy it. It's called "diversity". You'd think folks would embrace it. *Shrugs*
I'm keeping my ranting under control...this week. :) |

So right! most (if not all) of the writings we get to enjoy FREE here are good enough to be published work. So I say let them complain but nobody better take away my daily juice

LMAO! Judy, you make my chest hurt. Don't get in between a Lady and her daily juice! I think we have a nice mix of writers and genres on the site. And there's more to come. Actually, my sister has written a freakin' outstanding menuscript but she won't publish it. She's had tons of offers but she won't. I gave up.

Wow. I don't know what set you off, but I hope I have enough sense not to go there! Thanks for looking out for us.

Tracy, you're a true gem, you shine brightly, so talented, humble, and always taking the time out to help others. Thanks for taking the time to school me on some things within this industry, and just being a kind soul in general.

Thanks Charisma and you are more than welcome. I do what I can because others did for me. We don't get anywhere alone. :)

Tracy, you are awesome! Thank you for taking time to help me. I think I might need some of that schooling that Charisma was talking about. She's right you are a Gem.

Serenity, you're so sweet. Please feel free to ask any questions. If I don't have the answers, I'll find someone who does. Networking: It's how we save our asses. :D
