Hey guys,
As Seduce Me has taken off I’m finding myself in the company of new readers of interracial erotica, I’m often asked the same question….Who do I compare my writing style to? They hear erotica and immediately think of Zane. They hear interracial and think of Kimberly Kaye Terry. While I admire the talents of these writers, I don’t compare or fashion my work after them or anyone.
First of all, I’m way too moody to stick within the comfortable confines of one way of writing. Sometimes my stories are romantic and deep. Sometimes they aren’t but what you will find in all of them is a piece of me, no one else. I use humor often in my writing to help the reader connect with the characters on a personal level. I love sex and the intimacy and energy it produces between two people. However, that is not to say that my work is based on boy meets girl and they live happily ever after. No, it's more complex than that, there's a human side. I try not to get too heavy but I don’t want to dumb it down so far that the readers feel insulted.
I have always loved the work and technique of Alice Walker. There is a raw element to her writing that I find fascinating but do I compare my writing to hers? No, I’m not trying to be the next Alice, Zane or Kimberly.
I’m Tracy.
