Hey guys! Just wanted to give you a heads up. “The Congressman’s New Nanny” has been taken down for revisions. As I mentioned, it’s not a rewrite, it’s simply a fluffer.
I hope to have the first of two (maybe three) revised installments up by Thursday. I never realized how long the story was. Holy cow!! What really cool about revisiting this particular story is re-reading my original notes.
I’m a bit of a political geek so I wanted to tap into the inner workings of the system however, at the time TCNN was written, a certain copy editor urged me to remove the political intrigue because ithe story was reading like a novel more so a novella.
That’s understandable because it wasn’t supposed to be a novel. However stripping the intrigue also meant stripping other areas. So a year later, here I am writing the story I should’ve written in the first place! Well, not really. It’s still going to be stripped down as far as I’m concerned.
I want twist and turns; back-stabbing and bonds; reputations ruined…hell, someone needs to go to jail or die*!! Now do you see why I’m not allowed to write alone. These short stories would be three hundred pages long.
I hope you enjoy the revisions and thank you for allowing me yet another long blog post. :-)
*Seriously, gotta stop killing my characters.

Judy, you're too much! You'd better go to work. I've decided to release it in three parts. Thursday being the first bit.
