Hey guys! Sorry for the double post but I promised a reader that I'd post my carrot cake recipe. It's now available on the "Foodies" page.
As you'll see on the recipe itself, the cake is a hybrid between a Hawaiian cake, a fruit and nut cake, and a traditional carrot cake. I've also included two frosting recipes for those who dare to venture away from canned frosting. I wouldn't give you anything difficult, both are very easy to make.
I'm still a little old school when it comes to baking. A lot of my recipes aren't commited to paper. It's the 'wing it' approach our Grandmas so embraced.
Then again, that's why I love recipe sites. You can find recipes and tweak them to fit your taste. But there are the family recipes that no one bothered to write down. Trying to bake and scribble notes at the same time is a pain. This is the peach and apple pie speed bump.
My next posts will be BC's favorite strawberry tarts, and garlicky buttery cheesy pinwheels. Both very easy to make and addictive to the point of stupidity. If you have any request please send them.
Cheers!
