You guys should get a kick out of this. Greg wanted carrot cake but I was feeling lazy so I didn’t use my recipe. I thought I’d get away with using a box cake and adding nuts and raisins.
It’s horrible! No one in the house is eating it. BC spit it out and started crying “I wanted the other kind! It’s not the same!”
It's not the same. It has way too much cinnamon and cloves. Yuck! Now I have this sad looking carrot cake sitting on the counter that no one will touch. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! My folks are pissed. I don’t have time to bake a new one so they’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
By the way, since posting my carrot cake recipe, it’s been downloaded 3107 times in less than a week. Which one of you is going to offer the first slice? *Taps Feet*

You're welcome. Feel free to tweak it....I've done it a thousand times to fit our taste. BC is sitting here looking too sour! lol. I'll make it up to him tomorrow.

Lol! You were wrong for trying to trick him with a box cake. You can't fool a 3 year old. lol! The cake came out really good. The only thing I tweaked from the recipe was skipping the walnuts. I 've never been a fan of walnuts. I don't even like them in my banana muffins

Yeah I can't eat walnuts at all. But pecans I can eat by the handful. Yeah, I tried getting one over on my baby and he called my bullshit. LOL! He's facial expression was classic, though. He and Greg threw their bowls in the garbage.

You deserved that Tracy lol. My son is the same don’t try to trick them when it comes to food. Now I did make this about a wk or 2 ago and I actually hated you (that’s what I was mouthing around each fork or each finger I licked clean when I ate the cake) since it’s just me and my baby and he doesn’t eat any type of dessert I had to suffer and ate it all by myself. The frosting was sooo good.

Judy, it was worth a shot. Kids are too smart for their own good. In truth, I should've known better, BC is a supertaster! I'm glad you liked the recipe. Play around with it. I made one using bits of parline for my mom. Came out great until Greg picked the pecans off the top.

I would offer the first slice but those people I call family ate the whole thing and didn't leave me any and I made two. Greedy people in my life.
Off to make Zuccini bread now (by the way my family hates Zuccini but will eat the bread) so my aunt, and sisters will leave me alone |

LOL! Too funny. Your family sounds like Daniel. He won't eat zuccini but he'll devour zuccini bread. Glad they liked the carrot cake.

Wanda, I was so tired. I used a box cake and canned frosting. I wish you could've seen their faces. BC looked a little hurt. lol
