My hobby is that I work as an attorney in the northeast. My true profession, and the hardest work in the world, is that I am a mommy to four little boys. So the testosterone in my home can get to be a little much, especially when you throw my husband into the mix. So writing and reading about delicious romance and a lot of lovin' is my refuge. Hope you enjoy. I appreciate the feedback.
Okay here is my new pick for this month. Tokkenblackgirl. (Thanks Sherece!)
Yes, everyone, Sherece kindly pointed out this author to me. Tokenblackgirl submits her stories on Valentchamber.com and she is fierce and so is her series “La Sinfola”. The series includes secret agents, crime families, and Tomb Raider type women. Can anyone say “Alpha”? Yea, I can and Tokenblackgirl delivers!
She’s another author who has a boatload of stories so I will give you a cheat sheet for the ones that are part of the”La Sinfola” series. In order they are; Bel Canto, Adagio, Aria, Serenade, Impromptu, His Winter Song and Tango.
Let me warn you know, sleep will not be part of your program if you engage these stories in any way. You have been warned!
Now, as a writer I’m pretty partial to MiraDream.
You may have gleaned from the stories that I write that I prefer stories where people aren’t perfect. You know what I mean, perfect little lady (with a body which has never seen cellulite) meets slightly off center (hot) guy and she fixes him and they live happily ever after. (Oh wait! That was Conflicts of Interest.) Okay, so I’m not doing a very good job of proving my point, but I like stories where people are going through some things and the author has the talent to convey the emotions as well as the action. Ms. MiraDream brings the goods. God, I love her (in a not bi-curious way)! Yes, her series is about complex human emotion and she is pitch perfect. Check it out and let me know what you think. Here is the cheat sheet for her series about Cassandra Moore and Jamison Giordano: Lover’s Prayer, Redemption, All I Want for Christmas Is You, Here and Now and Even Sunshine Burns.
For next time
Now for next month, I have to give everyone an assignment. My next picks are going to come from The Sweetest Taboo. To get on this site you need to go through some steps. You have to apply for privileges and a few days later they will accept you. There are some great stories on this site and I would love to introduce you to them. So get on it. Let me know if you have any problems at o_coleman@hotmail.com. Remember: add “IRE.net” to the subject line so I don’t delete you by accident.
As always, I wish you many a sleepless night!
