Interesting take on things, Mark. The world is definitely open for exploration... hard to get your emotions around sometimes, but open nonetheless. Do you think that "swinging" is more accepted in the UK than it is in North America?

Hi Amanda, I don't think it is, No. The swinging scene in the staets is as accessible and flourishing as it is in the UK. Most large cities have a club you can go to and/or and underground scene of openminded contacts/organised parties through sites like Gumtree and Craigslist. Its just a matter of putting yourself out there...

I think swinging is more accepted in the UK and Europe for that matter. When I lived in Switzerland, I found it be more..."open". I reckon this is because we, Americans, don't really talk about sex openly so, I think, some would consider swinging an abomination.
But then again, what do I know? I’m just spitballing. |

I think the US has similar, deep rooted religious feelings about sex that maybe places in Europe and elsewhere have gotten over withing their culture. I think its very traditional and societal the influence that governs the way humans are reacting to sex generally, even before we get into the subject of crossing races. In the US, 'swinging' may be a bit more underground than in Europe but I can guarantee you now that there so many more people over there practising non-monogamy, devoid of exposure.

Bang on, Mark! Bang on! But why is this the case? It doesn't make any sense.

Religion, babe. It sucks, but people are wise and I am just glad people get out there, even if they are not as open as us. Everyone else, I plan to convince in due course.

I know that here in Canada, some of the bigger cities have things but it is still fairly taboo... I think times are changing though. Always an interesting topic!
