True confession time: I have a huge crush on Rupert Penry-Jones. I don’t dream of him fallating my girlie bits, but he has been my muse on more than one occasion.

My predilection for intellectuals is widely known, and RPJ is spot on! Not only is he mind-numbingly hot, but he also hails from a dynasty of theatre practitioners* and he’s well-read. In fact, he’s a self-professed geek.

Be still my racing heart!

This delicious manwich’s charisma and intelligence could cause the spontaneous combustion of clothing! He’s a bad-ass who’ll screw your brains out, then do your taxes. What more can a gal ask for? Those bloody eyes are what! They induce orgasms.

When I heard he’d been cast as Capt. Wentworth in the 2007 adaptation of Persuasion, I died. Unlike other Jane Austen heros, Capt. Wentworth was personable yet maintained his rigid exterior. RPJ was a perfect match! The DVD is worth the purchase. In the meantime my girlfriend has a ton of movies online...Persuasion being one of them. Click to view her channel.

And don’t get me started on his role as Adam Carter on “Spooks/MI5”. I cried like a baby when they topped him. He gave ‘Adam’ a strong will, and compassion which wasn’t only admirable but it left the viewers feeling empty when they killed him off. One of the writers on the show said there was dead silence after filming. I imagine so! I’m a MI5 fan, and his exit was difficult to stomach.

On to the ITV drama “Whitechapel” where he played Joseph Chandler, a detective inspector who was involved in his first big murder case. Damn, damn, damn, he’s hot! What’s makes Chandler even more adorable is his obsessive compulsive disorder. For me, a healthy dose of manly OCD is a plus. Greg scrubs the kitchen from floor to ceiling every night. That’s hot!

Anyway, back to RPJ…

Aside from his bangable body (Anglo-Indian blood), he’s also a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award winning stage and television actor. He studied at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and went on to play at The Royal National Theatre as well as others. I proudly heart theater freaks!
